Peace Candle Project

A member of the Monks Beyond Religion asked us if there are any way that
His Holiness Gayuna Cealo can use left over sacred candles for charity.
Since there are many "left-over-candles" at temples and Shrines in Japan,
churches in the U.S.A and many more churches perhaps, it is a waste to throw them away.

All the candles from many different sects and religions are melted into one and
revived as symbolic candle of integration.
We make two types of candles with our prayers to bring inner peace and world peace.
You may light the candle even for few minutes each time you meditate
on the full-moon day with Gayuna Cealo, on a special day for yourself,
or when you feel must pray for world peace with your prayer.
We welcome your participation in our prayer with the Light of Peace Candle and
the Full Moon Meditation Candle.

The Light of Peace Candles are made with the sacred wax of "left-over-candles"
collected from churches and temples in the US, Japan, Cambodia, Myanmar, and
Sri Lanka.
The silver color cups are made in Myanmar. All the candles from many different
sects and religions are melted into one and revived as a sacred candle symbolizing
peace, harmony, and integration.

The Full Moon Meditation Candles are very small. There are 12 small candles in 1 set.
1 small candle lasts for 20 minutes and is just right for your monthly meditation on
the day of full moon day.
The yellow wax in these candles is the sacred wax collected from many sects and
religions around the world, melted together as one, and scented with Jasmine
aroma oil from Thailand.

The Sacred Journey of the Peace Candles...

So much wax was sent to the Heart Space Center in Japan from churches, temples and
shrines in several countries including the US.

The "Full Moon Meditation” candles are made with small new candles donated by Japanese
 temples as their base..

The wax is hand carried by groups of people journeying to Cambodia to assist Cealo on his works
of compassion along with other boxes of donated items

During this candle making program, participants from Myanmar, Japan, Cambodia, and America work
on making candles at night after a long days work.

First, the people used the collected wax to make 50 of the Peace Candles in the Silver Cups...

Then, the wax was colored and Jasmin essential oil was added. Then, the small base candles were dipped.

The participants made 5,000 small candles and packed them. The packaging white paper was cut
and fold in shape by the Japanese people.

Then, packed candles were brought to the U.S.A with His Holiness Gayuna Cealo and Amica.

Peace Candle and Full Moon Meditation Event 20th May, 2008

The Peace Candle Project group in Japan held an event for the full
moon day on the 20th of May, 2008. The Full Moon day in May is one of the
most important celebration's of the Buddhist countries in South East
Asia as it is Visaka Bochea which celebrates the Birth of Lord Budhha.
So we are very sure that our friends in Myanmar, Sri Lanka and Cambodia
joined the meditation with a lot of joy. The Peace Candle Project
delivered 5000 peace candles to these three counties and the U.S in April.

The event in Japan had 207 people participate and raised $8,000.00
with 10 groups in booth stores that sold many items from each group's project. The items included hand woven silk products, heart cookies, Asian crafts and Peace Candles. In addition there were baskets available for donations.
t was held at a Catholic church in Ueno, Tokyo and the hall was lit with
hundreds of handmade candles, and filled with beautiful music.
Everyone present heard Gayuna Cealo's talk and messages from the Prince
and Princess of Cambodia and a monk from Sri Lanka and then meditated.

The Tokyo weather report for that day was rain with a typhoon.
We had heavy rain and strong winds in the morning but the rain stopped
when the staff members started to set up the event in the late morning.
We could see the beautiful full moon when the event was finished.

The Message from His Holiness Gayuna Cealo
for the Full Moon Day on the 20th, May 2008

You, who came into existance, selected this particular time
in millions of years of history of the earth as your life....

Now all of you are here to got together to unite your deepest wishes for
manifesting peace at this particular time.

Each small power of one's prayer assembles together
with other prayers and enables the light of wishes
to extend and cover the whole earth.

So first, you bathe in the light and savor it.
Then, let's radiate the light and love to the world
with your lightened heart.

Now, entirely, wishes for world peace become as one.
You are in the greatest blessings and glory, calmly and purely.
